The Collective for Disability Justice is a coalition dedicated to combating ableist policies and amplifying the voices of people with disabilities through an intersectional lens.
Based in Detroit, we are comprised by a collection of organizations and concerned individuals dedicated to disability justice issues. Current project include:
- getting organizations dedicated to disability issues in Detroit to coordinate
- curating a series of town halls for people with disabilities throughout the city
- working on policy proposals for Detroit to adopt an Office of Disability Affairs
- developing a digital education series to help everyone become a better ally when it comes to accessibility issues in their communities and beyond
