The Collective for Disability Justice (C4DJ) is a Detroit-based grassroots coalition of organizations and individuals dedicated to addressing disability justice issues. We are made up of individual citizens, as well as members of organizations such as Warriors on Wheels and Detroit Disability Power.
Our goal is to use all tools available to us to combat ableism by pushing policy and infrastructure reforms that will ensure a more accessible world, while also educating everyone to better understand what disabilities and barriers can look like.
Since being founded in the Spring of 2019, we have held get-togethers, hosted town halls, worked on local policy proposals, and more. We meet every 4th Sunday of the month to discuss projects and coordinate on the accessibility issues that impact all peoples, but leave people with disabilities especially vulnerable. Help us make this world more accessible by getting involved.
